Tensar TriAx geogrids are a proven solution for pavement reinforcement on road and highway projects and greatly extend the lifespan of the pavement. Geogrids reduce pavement thickness by up to a third without impacting performance, which lowers installation and maintenance costs. Tensar TriAx geogrids are used to build working platforms for airport pavements and hardstand areas, particularly where the ground is soft. Multiple layers form a stiff beam that spreads heavy loads over a larger area, reducing differential settlement. In some cases two or three layers of geogrids may be required.
Tensar TriAx geogrids provide an alternative to poured concrete for load transfer platforms. Aggregate caps reinforced with Tensar TriAx geogrids can be used to cap foundations built over pile fields, transferring heavy loads to deep foundations.

The installation of Tensar TriAx geogrid is straightforward with the geogrid able to be rolled out directly over the subgrade having removed any major protrusions such as rocks or tree stumps. Typical road aggregates are used with Tensar TriAx geogrids for constructing temporary or permanent roads and highways, working platforms and gravel raft foundations.
