Triaxial Geogrids (For ground stabilisation and sub-base reinforcement)

Tensar TriAx

The triangular structure of TriAxgeogrids, coupled with increased rib thickness and junction efficiency, greatly improves aggregate interlock and confinement – leading to optimal structural performance of the mechanically stabilised layer.

When combined with a suitable aggregate, TriAxproduces a mechanically stabilised layer with unrivalled performance in ground stabilisation and sub-base reinforcement that out-performs conventional biaxial geogrids.

The multi-directional properties of TriAx provides near isotropic performance under wheel loads that act radially through the pavement layers.

Tensar TriAxgrades are supplied and stocked in Lae in the following roll sizes:

Product Grade Width Length
Tensar TX160 3.8m 75m
Tensar TX170 3.8m 50m

A number of tests and trials have been completed to prove the functional performance benefits of the TriAxgeogrid compared with the conventional biaxial geogrid. Tests included trafficking trials using facilities at the University of Nottingham (NTEC) and, on a large scale, at the Transport Research Laboratory (TRL).

Installation damage assessment, bearing capacity and field tests were also conducted as part of the comprehensive and rigorous testing programme

Uniaxial Geogrids (For the reinforcement of soils in the construction of structures)

Tensar Uniaxial Geogrids

Tensar RE geogrids are used for reinforcement of soils in the construction of structures such as retaining walls, bridge abutments, steep slopes and slip repairs.

Characterised by long, slim apertures Tensar uniaxial grids have been orientated in one direction during manufacture to produce high strength in the direction of roll length.

Tensar uniaxial geogrids have been given accreditation by a number of independent government and other certifying agencies around the world and are all manufactured in accordance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems which comply with the requirements of BS EN ISO 9001:2000 and BS EN ISO 14001:1996 respectively.

Tensar RE Geogrids are supplied in the following roll sizes:

Product grade Width Length
Tensar 40RE 1.3m 50m
Tensar 55RE 1.3m 50m
Tensar 80RE 1.3m 50m
Tensar 120RE 1.3m 50m

Tensar Structural Solutions using RE Geogrids

Tensar Structural Solutions includes Tensar Wall Systems and Tensar Slope Systems. These offer you a range of reinforced soil structures with a choice of faces to suit your design code, budget, environmental constraints and aesthetic requirements

.

Each system is based on reinforcing a soil mass with Tensar uniaxial geogrids allowing rapid and economical Construction and reducing conventional construction times.

Miragrid GX Geogrid

Miragrid GX is a polyester (PET) geogrid that can accommodate extremely high loads due to low-creep, high-modulus raw materials. The product's relatively low reduction factors have been verified and certified by independent research institutes and testing laboratories and is well suited for segmental block wall and slope construction.

Miragrid GX performs under long-term load with considerably lower deformation than many grids of identical nominal strength from other manufacturers.

Miragrid GX stress-strain characteristics hardly ever change, not even under extreme temperature variations or long-term loads. When properly installed, it neither becomes brittle, nor offers a combustible material.

Miragrid GX with its open-meshed structure interlocks excellently with any soil.  Anchor lengths can therefore be short, reducing costs and reducing earthwork operations.  Miragrid GX is usually supplied in widths up to 5.20 m, and in roll lengths of up to 100m, so overlaps can be reduced to a minimum.

Non-standard sizes can also be supplied to meet special demands. Miragrid GX has its main strength in the longitudinal direction, which means continuous lengths of reinforcement without overlaps or joints. Miragrid GX is easy to handle and install because it can be rolled out and folded, easily cut to the required length and has no sharp edges, which could lead to injuries.

Miragrid GX is produced to the high quality requirements of EN ISO Standard 9001. Quality assurance supported by a well-equipped laboratory is continuously monitored by independent institutes
